Top 10 Reasons for Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving
Give thanks every day of the year
Being thankful for the gifts we are given every day is not just for one day of the year.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving as a holiday in Australia, but we can be thankful for what we have.
Let me share with you ten reasons for giving thanks which reminds us that anyone can be thankful they have been given.
Reason 1 to be thankful
Be glad you're alive!
Live every day like it is your last.
Fill each day with joy.
Don't waste a single moment.
Give thanks for being here.
Life is to be lived - with thanks and joy
Reason 2 to be thankful
Be grateful for your talents
Everyone has talents. Yes, even you!
Your talent may be keeping your family happy.
It may be that you can laugh when life is not so great.
You may have a talent for making others feel good.
Perhaps you are a good listener.
Perhaps you could listen - to an aged person's worries
They would be thankful
Big or small house - it's still your castle
Reason 3 to be thankful
You have shelter
Perhaps your house is not a fancy mansion, but it has a roof to keep you dry, walls to keep the wind away, and windows to keep the rain from you.
Some in this world have no, or little shelter from the elements.

Reason 4 to be thankful
You eat every day
Even if you are not sitting in a 'posh' restaurant, you probably eat at least one meal every day, unlike many others on the planet.
Some of us are so blessed, we can eat whatever we want whenever we want. We can have snacks, cupcakes, chocolates, all the yummy things available.
We get to eat out — in a restaurant or diner — not in the gutter.
Give thanks you are not hungry
Reason 5 to be thankful
You can see!
There are so many people who have failing vision, or who can't see at all.
Be grateful that you have your eyes and you can see the world around you in all its beauty.
Give thanks for precious eyesight
